He may look cute and cuddly but there is certainly no doubting that eight-week-old Socks has an enormous appetite.

However, the tiny kitten's need for a tasty meal almost finished his young life off after he swallowed a whole mouse and ended up getting the tail wedged in his throat.

The ambitious pet found himself struggling to breathe after gobbling down the snack.

Far from tough.

My weakness is animals and even the toughest of the tough can surely see, that little kitten is adorable.

I always know where I stand with animals, I can't say the same thing about people!!
