This is why I love this place,... Shining the light of science and reason on to the wacky shadows of ignorance. :tu:

Sadly, it's worse than ignorance, which can be cured by providing information. In these cases, it's false belief, which must first be dislodged before accurate information can replace it.

I have no problem with ignorance... its the willful ignorance I cant stand.

The believers are complaining that skeptics are "close minded".... I see lots of that on their side aswell. Believers that refuses to even consider a mundane explanation to their favorite case.

I think they're pretty much confirming what most people already suspected, but nevertheless, it is encouraging to have it confirmed.

Life is a hideous business, and from the background behind what we know of it peer daemoniacal hints of truth which make it sometimes a thousandfold more hideous.

I'd much rather strenghthen your admittedly feeble mind with sound reasoning and research skills, and these topics are excellent practice fields for such empowerment. Are you ready to start?

For some of these guys, dwelling in ignorance is more exciting......And I get that.... A world (universe) filled with all sorts of Aliens, ghosts, and people with paranormal powers.

Who wouldnt take that over the "boring" reality?? :tsu:

Wow, really? You feel ignoring the Astronauts actual words, making some up, and telling people the made up stuff is the real truth, is the way to roll?

That's the level best you can do??

Seriously. Your sentiments are very childish.

Strange... How some people will rather "fight to the death" to keep their favorite fantasy intact than actually learn something.

I was about to say the same, we know a few of them in the forum, who to this day, even having been proven wrong time and time again by different people, cling to their beliefs (for lack of better word) rather than to admit, that they might even be wrong a tiny bit.
