Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" turns 40 years old this month.   A very good list of 40 trivia items is at:

This was a big influence on my life.   My mother had a copy and I listened to it as a child.

Back in the early 2000's I got to go see Roger Waters preform this entire album. Great show.

Agreed, but I think "Wish You Were Here" is actually their best album.   But DSOM is their second best, IMHO.

One of my top 3 bands all time!

Saw this video of "Money" on VH1 Classic.   Not sure if it was released at the same time as the album.  It has a vintage early 1970's look though.

I think Pink Floyd will be popular a hundred years from now just like some of the masters of classical are today.

I'm guessing one of them is King Crimson.
So, what's the third?

1.Led Zeppelin
2.Black Sabbath
3.Pink Floyd

My name on here actually came from stephen king books, though king did get his idea for the character from a king crimson song  ;)

This is beyond tragic...
The only Pink Floyd track I like is Another Brick In The Wall.
You know the anti corporal punishment anthem.
It's a shame it got ruined when the Deftones told the kids to go back to school.
But my ex- workmate who has a working account here absolutely loves prog rock.
Even though he plays rhythm guitar in a cheesy covers band.
And calls me Dickie Davis when I'm in the middle of one my sport related rants.
But still I've heard of Dark Side Of The Moon and it's not an achievement to be scoffed at.
So roll on an other forty years despite me not showing my age for once.
