Why do people use water pistols, replica guns, paintball guns, or BB guns? They hope the guy they are robbing will not notice... They are desperate.

That's the only logic that fits.   I also think that each robber sends off a certain vibe...To the point where you can sense if he is dead serious and will hurt or kill you, or he is just acting so desperate, he hopes you will do what he says and he can leg it out of there !!

Thanks Becky. According to my afore-mentioned friend, his wife kinda egged him on to be a "bad-a*s" This statement from Becky's link kinda supports that:
Quote: Shortly thereafter, Kelly married Kathryn Thorne, who purchased Kelly’s first machine gun and went to great lengths to familiarize his name in the underground crime circles; she also helped plot some small bank robberies.
Also, it seems he wasn't quite the tough guy he (or his wife?) wanted people to think he was. Again, according to Becky's link:
Quote:  During his time at Alcatraz he got the nickname "Pop Gun Kelly". This was in reference, according to a former prisoner, to the fact that Kelly was a model prisoner and was nowhere near the tough, brutal gangster his wife made him out to be.

So he was emasculated by his wife into becoming a gangster. That's different. I bet there was a lot of people who wish they knew all they had to do was just about anything they wanted and they'd have scared him off.

There is an email going around that Snopes.com is still doing research on to determine how truthful the numbers really are.  Even if they aren't that accurate...but especially if they are...it should give one pause to think...about our own fast approaching Police State of America.

Man that is downright scary. I know many Australians were demonstrating because of the increase in home invasions and other crimes after the forced gun buyback. I was talking to a friend of mine, and I agree with him, he thinks the media and the likes of Al Sharpton are deliberately trying to get Zimmerman killed. I tend to agree with him. After all, no tyrant wants armed peasants.  :(  They're using Zimmerman in effort to eliminate so called "stand your ground" laws (which I have been informed by said friend..an ex-cop..is a misnomer, they are actually "no duty to retreat" laws. But to the liberals, "stand your ground" law sounds better because it makes the defendant look more like an aggressor than "no duty to retreat" law.   :(

But that's in history. We don't have to worry about that anymore. Men in power are harmless these days. They legislate for your benefit in the 21 century.

You are correct again.  I have been looking at this all wrong...I should be thanking those in power that want my guns;  See how much better Zimmerman's life would have been if the government had taken his gun before he shot in cold blood and maliciously murdered that pure as the driven snow Trayvon fellow who really probably would have grown up to be President?  Wow...they know so much more that I do or you do...let's just pack 'em up right now and ship them off to Washington before we mess our lives up as well!

In many cases (Germany in particular) the people supported the government.

There where many many many many many more factors in place then just gun control that resulted in the mass extermination of people in the 21st Century. To say that that total is just because of gun control is a bold faced lie.

I don't think it's just because of gun control. It obviously has to do with mad men in charge but gun control is a common demoniator worth taking note of.
