I can't say I'm a strong proponent of the Death Penalty.  But this changes my mind.  These animals deserve to die.

Very sad story the mother will never forget this for the rest of her life.

"If it is not advantageous,do not move.If objectives can not be attained,do not employ the army.Unless endangered do not engage in warfare. The ruler cannot mobilize the army out of personal anger. The general can not engage in battle because of personal frustration. When it is advantageous, move;when not advantageous, stop.Anger can revert to happiness, annoyance can revert to joy,but a vanquished state cannot be revived, the dead cannot be brought back to life." I read about this the other day.  The 17 year old is being tried as an adult so he might get the death penalty.  He would deserve it too.

It takes a person to pull the trigger the gun doesn't do it by itself.

She has already lost one child too. How it would feel to lose one is unimaginable, there are no words for two.

I know how you feel it upset me too.  You would have to be one heartless !@#@#$@#&*&^ to kill a innocent baby.  I hope he gets the death penalty.

There are no juvenile delinquents, only delinquent adults. Once again from Robert Heinlein's 1959 Starship Troopers novel.

"Mr. Dubois then turned to me. "I told you that 'juveline delinquent' is a contriction in terms. 'Delinquent' means 'failing in duty.' But duty is an adult virtue -- indeed a juvenile becomes an adult when, and only when, he acquires a knowledge of duty and embraces it as dearer than the self-love he was born with. There never was, there cannot be, a 'juvenile delinquent.' But for every juvenile criminal there are always one or more adult delinquents -- people of mature years who either do not know their duty, or who, knowing it, fail.

"And that was the soft spot which destroyed what was in many ways an admirable culture. The junior hoodlums who roamed their streets were symptoms of a greater sickness; their citizens (all of them counted as such) glorified their mythology of 'rights' ... and lost track of their duties. No nation, so constituted, can endure."

Even among criminals there is somewhat a code of behavior.  If these young people go to prison they will HAVE to be in solitary of sorts.  They will not survive otherwise.  They executed a baby because his mother had no cash.  Just when Newtown had me thinking humans could go no lower, this happens....

I always wonder about that 'criminal code'.  I mean its something that we in polite society tells ourselves, but I wonder if it's really true.  Do  these criminal scum really care who did what to get in the lockup, or do they care about exploiting the next person they can find, or seeing who can help them the most.   I have to think these people don't give a crap about any victims.
