Kepler, like many of the misguided scientists of his time, including Newton, though later, was deep into numerology.

His laws of planetary motion, he thought, were evidence of the power of numerology.

Turned out he was wrong, but only in the details.  His laws still provide a rough estimate for planetary location, and, of course, he was basically right about shapes of orbits, velocity of the orbiter, etc.

Good enough, yes.  But not good enough to explain everything, the orbit of Mercury, for example.

Hi Third Eye,

Whatever falls apart it isn't my research, i observe you come from MALAYSIA very often in political constitutions and declaring independence there is intentional use of either Sirius or Alnilam in alignment in the sky.   So lets see what happened in Malaysia with "The Proclamation" that happened on 16th September 1963 in Kuala Lumpur, link below:-

http://en.wikipedia....ion_of_Malaysia Note wording about god and Lord of Universe!

Hiya monk 56...
note dates on agreement and declaration :

Quote

WHEREAS by an Agreement made on the Ninth day of July in the year one thousand nine hundred and sixty-three between the Federation of Malaya, the United Kingdom, North Borneo, Sarawak and Singapore it was agreed that there shall be federated the States of Sabah,[1] Sarawak and Singapore with the Federation of Malaya comprising the states of Pahang, Trengganu, Kedah, Johore, Negri Sembilan, Kelantan, Selangor, Perak, Perlis, Penang[2] and Malacca, and that the Federation shall thereafter be called "MALAYSIA":
wiki

anyway that's Malaysia Day ...

National Day or Independence Day is 31 August 1957 (from the UK) link

Hi Harte,

I will deal with Third Eye later who seems to only feel secure when others write in debate!

Obviously i will gently chide you but it is only in debate we get to true answers we all value, Kepler did give us many answers but was a man of his time!

I have never said i believe in any crazy numbers other than PHI in Nature, and you don't argue in that!

Actually this mystical numerology belief, you have no idea how it has killed so many people by crazy belief, i hate it, ever wondered why the Ottoman Empire declared war on 11th November 1914 on Christian soldiers other than Germany big buddy?

http://www.nzhistory...re-declares-war

In stupid numerology 11 is a master number, whoopi do!   But also 11th November is the feast day of Saint Martin of Tours, the patron saint of Christian soldiers!!!!

http://catholicfire....urs-patron.html

Isn't it a bit much that Ottomans declared war on 11th November 1914, and war finished on 11th hour of 11th day of 11th month 1918, this type of numerology kills millions and is just belief, so Harte please note i hate this belief in crazy numerology, not the same as PHI.

http://en.wikipedia....ce_with_Germany

You don't see the signs with me with gentle debate, i actually respect you, but i have to prod to have any reply!

Hi Harte,

Yes Kepler got it wrong with numerology but helped science in other area's thus why he is remembered, it is easy to throw stones here, many Americans have a soft spot for the statesman, inventor and scientist Benjamin Franklin, however he was an astrologer:-

http://en.wikipedia....'s_Almanack

Ben Franklin had a buddy called Doctor William Hewson, and Franklin lived in the same house as him in London from 1757-1762 & 1764-1775, recently 10 bodies have been found in the basement that are carbon dated to this period, probably due to grave robbing and medical experiments, what was Franklins involvement is open to debate with his doctor friend, who knows?

http://www.guardian....aug/11/usa.past

It is better not to throw dirt but join in seeing how wrong numerology is.....America didn't sign the Treaty of Versailles at the end of W.W.1. but made a separate peace with Germany, look to small print at top of the page below, where it says treaty came into force with exchange of ratification at Berlin on NOVEMBER 11th 1921, this is getting sick:-

http://en.wikisource...ny_Peace_Treaty

Lets all bow to the magical number 11....i don't think so!!!

Please note there is a great deal of intentional star alignments not mentioned in the First World War, above i give intentional crazy dangerous numerology, pretty sick, to explain the rest of this war in dates we have to know religious days...also important, hell Serbia has a thing for Vidovdan or Saint Vitus Day, please view link below:-

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vidovdan

The Event that triggered W.W.1. was the assassination of Franz Ferdinand on 28th June 1914, St. Vitus Day, the event that closed W.W.1. for most was the signing of the Treaty of Versailles by Germany on 28th June 1919...pretty sick when you think of all the deaths associated that were manipulated...isn't it?????

So who was the nut that started all this?   It was Dragutin Dimitrijevic code name APIS, in translation can mean OSIRIS ha ha!

Where do these nuts get the names from for their Secret Societies, Black Hand sounds like the fiction book LORD OF THE RINGS!!!!

Dear Third Eye,

You did nothing wrong, other than i thought you were acting like a wolf pack waiting on Harte to respond first before chiming in with comments, i would rather you debate with me as an individual!

The answer to your question is below:-

http://en.wikipedia....ki/Malaysia_Day

I must admit that the federation is confusing with so many countries joining, but to create thesis the best way is showing what countries did in your region, i have written a lot about Japan but not all, i have written about Australia, Burma and Hong Kong, soon i will write about China and New Guinea on link below, this thread will be never ending in approach and will cover world history, but give me a chance, i've only been a member for 6-7 months and i'm slow due to disablement, please read all so far with link below:-

http://www.unexplain...pic=232340&st=0

For a while this topic has moved to silly numerology and how dangerous it can be, this can have different interpretation in the East, Burma loves 8 so we get 8888 Uprising on 8th August 1988, link below:-

http://en.wikipedia....i/8888_Uprising

Recently China demonstrated this belief in 8 with the Beijing Olympic Games, but obviously no one got hurt or were meant to, however does give insight into the crazy world of superstitious numbers:-

Not my topic of preference really, and to add ... I don't run with packs, not my style :D
I don't know much about you but if you're familiar with the Far East you'll have to separate superstition from cultural with the 'crazy world of numbers'
I'm no expert and I'm in no position to hold any end of any debate, just personal experience and opinions really.

cheers ...

The I Ching (Wade-Giles) or "Yì Jīng" (pinyin), also known as the Classic of Changes, Book of Changes or Zhouyi, is one of the oldest of the Chinese classic texts.[1] The book contains a divination system comparable to Western geomancy or the West African Ifá system; in Western cultures and modern East Asia, it is still widely used for this purpose.
Traditionally, the I Ching and its hexagrams were thought to pre-date recorded history,[2] and based on traditional Chinese accounts, its origins trace back to the 3rd to the 2nd millennium BC.[3] Modern scholarship suggests that the earliest layers of the text may date from the end of the 2nd millennium BC, but place doubts on the mythological aspects in the traditional accounts.[4] Some consider the I Ching the oldest extant book of divination, dating from 1,000 BC and before.[5] The oldest manuscript that has been found, albeit incomplete, dates back to the Warring States Period (475–221 BC).[6]

Dear Third Eye,

Don't try to make yourself small, you are big enough to always debate with me, but when i made the comment about Malaysia Day on 31st March on thread, i didn't know that Parliament was going to be dissolved on 3rd April 2013....did i, you gave that information, so we do bounce off each other, i like that!

http://www.aljazeera...3738431861.html

Obviously i give lots of astronomy graphs, if i was giving false information, don't you think that the bright minds of the astronomy and astrophysics forum would be on my back?

Okay the coalition in Malaysia are trying to get an advantage by belief in Sirius, they have been in power for 57 years, they want to keep power and have aligned to Sirius by dissolving parliament on 3rd April 2013.   Ancient Greek day marker was chosen at location of Kuala Lumpur, where Parliament sits, as Sun set on 2nd April, Sirius was culminating in the centre of the sky, astronomy graph on link below:-

Hi Third Eye,

Lets hope the election isn't prone to corruption, or you may be the lamb in the stew ha ha!

I'd just like to finish up on W.W.1. now before going back to Phi.

When the trial of conspirators that assassinated Achduke Ferdinand took place the media missed it, as the First World War had started, a transcript was made of the trial but gathered dust for many years, then a guy called W. A. Dolph Owings translated it into English and called it "The Sarajevo Trial", sadly it is now long out of print and very expensive to buy second hand, however it is a scholarly translation transcript of the trial of the conspirators and is valued by all major libraries, i'm not sure Third Eye if you can get it in Malaysia, the nearest place i can find to you would be Australia, who only have FIVE COPIES OF THE DOUBLE VOLUME BOOK, link below:-

http://trove.nla.gov...sion=NBD3925112

Many history scholars use this book and you will see it mentioned under "REFERENCES" below:-

http://en.wikipedia....ki/Latin_Bridge

Hell i had to borrow it from the British Library, and because it was two volumes, if i lost it, i would have to pay £230:00 penalty, link below, (twice £115):-

http://2012forum.com...=6833&mode=view

I couldn't offord to buy the book so copied it from my printer, i'm a bad boy ha ha!

Most of the conspirators had Tuberculosis and during that time was a killer so had no reason to lie at the trial, they do mention Freemasons but i think there are good ones and bad ones, links to a few pages are below:-

Hi third Eye,

I'm concerned that you don't seem to have any money, as your country goes to the polls in the next election, i would thank you if you can give any insight into poverty in Malaysia, i would value your comments.

1Malaysia (pronounced One Malaysia in English and Satu Malaysia in Malay) is an on-going programme designed by Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak on 16 September 2010, calling for the cabinet, government agencies, and civil servants to more strongly emphasise ethnic harmony, national unity, and efficient governance.

Prime Minister Najib has instructed the National Civics Bureau or Biro Tata Negara (BTN) to use its courses and seminars to educate present and future civil servants, politicians, and community leaders about 1Malaysia and promote national unity.
