Forget free will – many of us could be taking orders from the parasites inside our brains, reports Jerome Burne

Imagine a parasite that lodges in the brain and starts to exert a sinister influence over your behaviour. It affects how sexy you feel, or how angry or frightened, even how you dress. Not only does such a creature exist – but it may have infected up to 40 per cent of the population.

So the government (Parasites) are mind controlling everyone. lol

Seriously though, this is a stupid thing to do an article on, now people can blame this when they do something wrong, great idea.

parasites have been known to control animals behavior and insects
such as making fish go to surface of water to get eaten by birds so the parasite can move on evolve or such
but i think the humans system is different and it wasn't argued that parasites have ability to control humans .. i think

And from the evil of darkness when it settles And from the evil of the blowers in knots
And from the evil of an envier when he envies"

I thought it was weird that the female rat thought the male rat that was infected was sexier than the other rats.  Stay away from the rat you find too sexy.

Lol, there is something poignantly profound in that comment especially coupled with the subject of parasites :P

"I warn you, whoever you are, oh you who wish to probe the arcanes of nature, if you do not find within yourself that which you seek, neither shall you find it outside.
If you ignore the excellencies of your own house, how do you intend to find other excellencies?
In you is hidden the treasure of treasures, Oh man, know thyself and you shall know the Universe and the Gods."
