Is there any way of altering the smilie codes so that ( B) doesn't come up as the smilie face wearing shades, but simply as ( b ) in brackets? Very often one can be writing something that addresses several points, in the form (a), ( b ), © and so on, and for ( b ) to come up as ( B) rather diminishes the effect one may wish for. I know you can untick the 'Enable emoticons' box, but you might want to still use smilies in the post, just not necessarily when you want ( b ). Could it not be possible to change the code so that ( B) is represented by something else, thereby avoiding a small amount of confusion?

* You could add to that © as well, perhaps, so that it comes up as ( c ) rather than ©.

It isn't practical to change that as it would break that emoticon in every post in which it's been used before.

There is a better way to do it by using bullet or number lists.
