Apparently Fox has dropped the story for now. I couldn't find anything that went into detail yet...too soon. Here's the local news link http://www.wacotrib.com/

Interesting timing, given the Waco Massacre's 20th anniversary is April 19th. The decision to burn them out, likely took place a day or two before, so this event may fall on the actual anniversary of that decision.

The Waco siege lasted for fifty days.

Kind of spooky ...

Interesting.

I had a dream last night about a toxic plant too. I even said to a person "Ah so you're a Texan hey".

Might it be convenient to merge this with this http://www.unexplain...howtopic=246437 ?

And yup, sure enough, as I speculated, it hasn't taken long for the Conspiracy industry to crank into action, considering where it was.

If, as it seems, we are in the process of becoming a totalitarian society in which the state apparatus is all-powerful, the ethics most important for the survival of the true, free, human individual would be: cheat, lie, evade, fake it, be elsewhere, forge documents, build improved electronic gadgets in your garage that’ll outwit the gadgets used by the authorities.

- Philip K. Dick.

It is a friggin fertilizer factory. Explosions happen!

If the conspiracy nuts try to turn this into another nefarious "operation false flag" or whatever nonsense, they are really outdoing themselves.

Yep. Probably just an accident.

Coincidence almost always leads to speculation.  I'm not surprised many folks have "conspiracy theories" about the events of the last few days when you look at the dates of previous tragedies.  Pretty sad events....

"I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it."  Thomas Jefferson

Apparently, (and no I do not have a link) this chemical plant was cited a few years ago for safety violations... So it is certainly more likely (IMO) that this was a tragic (but preventable) accident.

Can't think of many agendas you can push based on a fertilizer plant exploding...
This is a tragic accident :(

Actually it happened in West Texas a town near Waco.  What a horrible accident and so many dead.  I wish all the injured a speedy recovery and the family of the dead my deepest condolences.

Hopefully just a terrible and tragic accident. During the Plants Safety Audit they considered the only likely accident ("very remote") would be a slight leakage of ammonia into the atmosphere without any effects on the local population or workers. Hmmm - from the BBC:

Anhydrous ammonia

  • Commonly used as fertiliser, injected into the soil
  • Must be stored in high pressure tanks
  • Produces poisonous vapour cloud on exposure to water
  • Forms explosive mixture when combined with air
  • Can cause severe burns to skin in concentrated form
