Fundamental truth can never be known unless you encounter a tangled hierarchy.

Perhaps, but Objective truth can be discovered and known. Depends on what you mean by 'fundamental truth'

All advances in humans are done via collective knowledge. We can as groups build on past knowledge and share newer innovations faster with increased communication. That is all, we are not getting smarter.

I understand you advocate h+ so will feel opposite espeically with augmenting ourselves with computers.

There are two things here. First the basic computing ability of the human mind, and second the programmes we utilise to think with, or how effectively we use the complete power of our mind.

BAsically, organically brains have changed a little over time and so has our abilty to process information, but what I was speaking of were the more advanced  mental "programmes" we now can use to think with, combined with the much greater data base of knowledge we have available to process.

Modern humans DO NOT necessarily think in the same way as humans from 1000 years ago or 10000 years ago, because we are taught new ways of thinking, including a greater amount of concrete and abstract data about the world.

Articficial augmentation is another matter. Just as we have artificial growth hormones to increase physical growth, there are artificial hormones being developed (initially to help special needs children)  to enhance the ability of the human mind to retain memory better and process information more effectively.

LAstly we are on the verge of being able to interface human minds with "artificial intelligences" so that you could down load a pod containing a new language or another skill. You would then have to practice it to gain facilty with it, but  the basics would be in your mind just as if you had learned them over time for yourself.

Ps much human advance is the work of individual humans. Yes they may "stand on the shoulders of others", but none the less they make the links, extrapolations, and creative- intuitive leaps which become a part of our knowledge base and advance in scientific understanding.

You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world..

Be cheerful.

Strive to be happy.

Bullwhackies! We use 100% of our brains, all the time. Look at a brain scan of the average person, there are no dead spots, no inactive areas. All part are lit up.

Anyways everything takes time.  Medical advancement takes time because of research and development but there is no excuse, in the meantime, to continue relying on fantasies and lies when you know it isn't true.

For example if I know that dangling a dead rat in front of a statue won't make it rain, why should I continue doing so?
Do you ever buy a lottery ticket in hope and expectation?

The odds of it raining after performing the ritual you describe are significantly higher than your staistical chances of winning the lottery, especially when such cermonies are usually performed after a long period without rain, when it is more likely that rain will eventually break the  drought.

Ps while it is true that we have the capacity to use all of our brain and that we need to use all of it to perform normal functions, one can greatly improve the abilty and performance of one's mind. Most humans only use a small  percentage of their mental capacity or mind/intellect, even while operating their brain at full capacity.
