Researchers have been using a special robot to explore tunnels below the ancient city of Teotihuacan.

NBC News said:

A diminutive robot helped researchers make a substantial discovery during preliminary tests conducted in a tunnel running under the Temple of Quetzalcoatl at the archaeological site of Teotihuacan, the team said Monday.

Fascinating how they built those tunnels and tombs in those days and they are still there. Wonder if the structures of today will have the same resilience and time span.

No, because the structures (at least here in the U.S.) don't make it that long. We tear them down and build a Walmart(insert whatever you want) in it's place. It almost seems like that if money can't be made then it(structure) has to go.

There was a programme a while back about the electrical goods being made today are not designed to last....did not really need a programme to tell us that, but this seems to be the way of the world now, build it, sell it, then build some more to sell again to make even more money because the last thing you sold them has a lifespan shorter than a caterpillar.

I seen that same program or something similar specifically about economics. The same could be said of alternative fuels and medicine due to the big money oil and pharmaceutical companies repressing it. Such as maple syrup and aluminum-free baking soda for cancer. In fact, you can request maply syrup and aluminum-free baking soda at any hospital BUT only you cant request it for cancer because ... ahem ... the pharmaceutical companies and their big money said you cant. But that is for another topic altogether.

"I charge thee in the sight of God, who giveth life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed the good confession; that thou keep the commandment, without spot, without reproach, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: which in its own times he shall show, WHO IS THE BLESSED AND ONLY POTENTE, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS; who only hath immortality, dwelling in light unapproachable; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honor and power eternal. Amen" (I Tim 6:13-16).

Fascinating article.  I hope we can see what is hidden in those chambers, after the archeologists work on them.

Planned obsolescence.  That is why light bulbs only last a short time, when at least 2 of the original bulbs built by Edison are still working.

freetoroam: I don't think our civs focus on building for the end of time anymore. It's too easy to get your customer back after the expected time approaches. Doesn't matter what way you look at it. South Park S16 225 EP.2 "Cash for Gold" points that out lovely IMO, it's a revolving circle of people in it for themselves, in all industries.
