Regarding the previous Boston Bombing thread in the conspiracies section, the decision has been made to take this thread down following a number of issues and concerns relating to the topic's content.

While we want to provide an environment for discussion that is as free and open as possible, there are times when the course or premise of a thread is so inappropriate that we are unable to accommodate it, either because it violates the forum rules or because other people find it grossly offensive.

Of particular relevance in this case is the following from our forum rules:

2a. Offensive content: Do not post or link to content that is excessively violent, sexually explicit, depicts images of death, gore, pertains to graphic cases of violent or sexual crimes committed against children or that is of an otherwise offensive nature.

First and foremost - please do not post links to graphic images on the forums, it doesn't matter if you place a warning notice with it - you are still posting the link and people are still going to see it and find it through this site. If you see someone else has posted such a link or image please do not quote it all through the thread, instead hit the "report" button and let the moderators know so that it can be removed.

Secondly, please consider what it is appropriate to say when discussing a sensitive subject such as the Boston bombings. Some of the conspiratorial concepts being proposed were extremely insensitive and simply not something we want to be seeing on the boards. Spare a thought for those who have been affected by these events and keep the comments civil and respectful in future.

Thank you.
