My wife and I have lived in our apartment for well-over a year now, and we’ve had odd happenings on and off the entire time. Nothing exceedingly serious and nothing we couldn’t handle; the most extreme instance was about six or seven months ago when my wife had the pillow ripped out from underneath her head in our bedroom (the bedroom seems to be the hot spot of the place). Sure, it spooked the **** out of her and she slept on the couch that night, but other than that we’ve been mostly fine. My reason for posting here is a curious happening that has been progressing over the last month or so.

It started as tiny drops of water in our bathroom. Very little, not in any discernible pattern, not enough to cause a mess, and nothing to really catch your attention; I actually wrote it off as wet hands or maybe an aberrant pee splash. I cleaned it up each time and tried to ignore it. That’s when the puddles came. Not that large, mind you, but small collections of water larger than a quarter. Now, you’re probably thinking like I did: “it’s a friggen bathroom – there’s water all over the place, pipes, faucet, could be something from the toilet, it’s nothing,” and that’s why I thought. That’s why I let weeks go by again, and luckily the water has stopped collecting. But now it’s tiny specks of blood, collecting in the same places that the water had been.

Before you say it, it’s not rust. I know blood, I know rust. This is blood. I thought maybe I was sick but… this isn’t blood inside the bowl – this is blood splashed across the lid and on the floor. Now, I’m married so I thought “okay, hey, you know… girl stuff, maybe,” but… yesterday’s incident killed that: I cleaned house, and I scrubbed that bathroom from top to bottom, including getting rid of all the little blood splatters. It was then that I realized we were out of toilet paper. I texted the wife, asked her to pick some up, and went about my day. Last night I went in to use the bathroom. The blood drips were on the lid, smeared down the side, etc. Not a lot, but it catches your eye, you know? And that’s when I realize that the pack of toilet paper my wife had bought was still wrapped and in the hallway. In other words, neither of us had been in the bathroom since I’d cleaned it. So, whatever this is, it’s getting progressively worse.

There was also a separate incident – something new – in the bedroom about a half an hour ago, but I don’t know that it’s related and, frankly, I don’t know that I believe it just happened, so I hesitate to really get into that one.

Comments, suggestions, advice?

Take a video camera to record the event, put on record? And go to a psychologist to make sure you're sane? Psychologist is not to be mixed with psychiatrist, because psychologist looks whether you're mad or not, and psychiatrist gives you the pill recipe if you are. Dont take pills as face value always, try other means first if you get a recipe. For your own and your family's safety you should look at everyone's stress levels and see that none of you has a bowel rupture, a bleeding bowel that might've gone unnoticed.

I say this so that the regulars dont have to, because someone usually suggests you all this here. Might as well be me. But in my opinion you shouldn't discard any possibility before you feel like you can discard it. Ask if anyone knows a reliable psychic or ghost-talker/seer near your area who could pay you a visit.

From my experience rats dont climb to toilet seats, I have a few as pets and they're crafty fellows but... if there's more than a desiliter (10th of a milk can) of blood and no corpse nor even any other organic stuff like ripped-apart fur or rat poop or anything, it's not an animal. From what you say sounds like, I'd discount the animal but make sure.

Words... I'm a life artist. That's enough.
It all starts from awareness and presense.

Also, if you have accurate birth times of yourself and your wife, I can take a look at your charts and see if there's anything that'd contribute to having hallucinations of any kind, I wouldn't discount that. Psychologer can probably do that too but having a second opinion wont hurt. I'm an astrologer and need at least a hour's accuracy or so and a birthtown too for the people checked, it's a quick check. Use private message if you give birth details.

Words... I'm a life artist. That's enough.
It all starts from awareness and presense.

@Mikko-kun: Well, the sanity question I can understand to a degree but my wife and I are both students in professional lines and are regularly around psychologists, psycho-analysts, welfare specialists, and every nut-seeker the industry provides. I’d imagine one of them would have approached us about our “declining mental stabilities” and subsequently would have restricted our access to sensitive guests if there was a genuine issue. Same with the hallucinations bit, especially since I volunteer a lot of my time with children outside of the home. And I can understand the bowel rupture concern, except: 1) one of the common areas for the blood droplets to appear is not a part of the toilet an anus would hang over, and 2) that doesn’t change the fact that they appeared with no one visiting the room. And, as strange as this sounds, Portland doesn’t really have a rat population. I’ve lived here a decade now and have never seen a rat nor heard of someone seeing a rat. Never. Let me see if there’s anything in the bathroom right now to photograph...

@coldethyl: Okay, that made me laugh. As strange as this’ll sound, I have had three major relationships in my life: my ex-wife, my ex-fiance and my current wife, and I was the primary “house keeper” in all three relationships. I tend to attract women who don’t care much for the tidying-up, vacuum-and-polishing bit, and since that stuff’s gotta get done, I’ve always been the one to do it. And least my new wife cooks.

It could be flea droppings. My cat brings fleas into the house & their droppings are pure dried  blood, & when they get damp they turn into drops of blood on the floor. Maybe there's bugs like that around?

If it's a supernatural problem then all the beings are harmless & if you show them love instead of fear they instantly become your friends & are no longer threatening. They would never harm you anyway because they're under a higher control. They usually only produce blood or negative things when they see danger in the persons life, & they want to brace the person with a shock to try & awaken them to their surroundings so that they can deal with the problem.

Sometimes they manifest negative things in order to control people by driving them back to religion for safety. They want the humans to believe in God because that opens a window in our minds that they can use to teach us more. They're not really negative, just the opposite, & you should never be afraid because the beings look after you & are the best friends to have around. They're not like humans though. They think a lot slower & broader. So you must be patient with them if you want answers. Basically they just want humans to live the best life possible & they watch over the humans from birth till death; then they hand the soul to other beings who take it back to its home.

Ewww, pretty freaky!!

I would certainly be trying to record it.  Is it mostly around the toilet?  If it's a flea or some other kind of bug, it would be pretty small so not sure if a camera would pick it up, but if you could set it up close enough it might just catch some movement of something if its a bug.  Have to admit, I would probably be a bit worried myself!!  Not the sort of thing you want appearing in your bathroom!  Hope it's nothing more than a bug.

Am I the only person who wants to hear about the other incident that happened in the bedroom????

Yes that's unusual! A pillow fight almost. She should have jumped up & chased the being around the room with the pillow! But she wasn't aware that she has guardians & that is who the beings are? Guardians can be temperamental & severe in their messaging, & that is misinterpreted as a threat by some. This causes people to imagine that there is an evil presence in their homes when there isn't.

The drops of water are interesting also? The beings, believe it or not, come from a liquid dimension that is all around us, & so the drops of water could be a message that beings are here?

Or it could just be a creature coming through the plumbing!

@Perfection: Well, we do have a cat, but she's indoor only. And - as far as I know - she doesn't play in the toilet (as far as I know anyway). Besides, if this was a flea thing, you think it would be happening in the cat's bathroom, or any of the other places we have linolium.

And if it's some kind of bug, why did it take the place of the water spots? And where are the actual bugs, and what is causing them to just spontaniously burst? The only problem with the bug theory is that these spots will appear with everything closed OR open, including with a big fuzzy lid smashed down on it.

@Moon Gazer: The incident with the pillow was interesting. My wife does not like to be in our bedroom alone and never had (even before the pillow incident). This one night I was in the living room, no doubt playing video games, and she decided to lie down on the bed to conk out early. Not three minutes later she was back in the living room. I asked what was wrong, she said nothing. I said she looked white as a ghost and she said she was just tired. It wasn't until two or three weeks had gone by that she told me she was all comfy, lying on her back, and had basically just thought to herself that the bedroom was fine to be in by herself. Then... whoosh, out from under her head, pulled across the room, and she was back by my side before the thing even landed.

The incident yesterday... which, I admit, I'm still questioning... but I went into the bedroom yesterday and found our digital clock... well, counting. From 0 to 60, rapidly. It'd hit 60, then restart at 0. I supposed this may be a function of the clock (serving what exactly?) but neither of us know how to start such a feature, nor were we in the room to start it doing so. I watched it for awhile, going from 0 to 60, 0 to 60, then I walked over and picked it up. Went right back to the normal time.

We've always had some things happening in the apartment - mainly lights and noises and such - but things have been quite active lately. There's also been... all right, I haven't even admitted this to myself yet and certainly haven't told the wife, but there's been two instances in the last week in which I have heard breathing in the living room. I try to attribute it to the cat, even though the cat is tiny and has never made a noise like this in any way, but... all right, yeah, there's been some instances of breathing.

....goddamn it, there's something in our apartment, isn't there?

I just feel bad for my new wife. We've been together for less than two years, married for just six months, and she's not used to weird things like this happening around her. Me - I've got stories throughout every age of my life, and all of this is just kind of another brick in the wall-type thing.

Oh, no, no - it's not like that. Believe me, I'm one of the hardest skeptics around. I'm just running out of logical answers for weird things happening in succession.
