I keep hitting something called my positive vote quota limit, and was just wondering why such a thing exists?
I didn't realise that giving credit where credit was due was rationable, that showing appreciation has its limits, or that showing support had a cut-off point?!
is it something to do with server info limits? some kind of maximum algorythm point?
not really complaining (well, maybe a little....), just a bit confused??
thanks.

I believe there is a limit, yes, although I don't think I've ever encountered it. It is more generous, though, than the only times I've ever tried to vote in Elections. Do you know you're only allowed one vote there?! I mean, come on, that's hardly fair is it?

If, as it seems, we are in the process of becoming a totalitarian society in which the state apparatus is all-powerful, the ethics most important for the survival of the true, free, human individual would be: cheat, lie, evade, fake it, be elsewhere, forge documents, build improved electronic gadgets in your garage that’ll outwit the gadgets used by the authorities.

- Philip K. Dick.

I feel like a miser :(  I've never hit that quota either.  I need to be more appreciative!

There is a quota but it's pretty high - 100 votes in a 24 hour period.

The reason this exists is to prevent misuse and to avoid flooding/spamming of the reputation system.

Meh, Eldorado does it everyday. I wonder if there's a limit on how many one can recieve in a day as well? Eldorado's probably done that too! :)

Ok, but then your "positive quota" of certain other things may suffer (just letting you know).
