Maybe it is a  part of human evolution. I know that my eye Dr. tells me I have more rods and cones than most people, while I have recently been seeing a lot more fluorescence in flowers, ocean waves, clouds and so on. Colors come right at me sometimes.
So what if this is a new part of our biological system?

Except that we don't know if it's a good or bad evolution. I prefer the term mutation rather evolution.

I have stopped placing judgements on things, ... mostly. I don't think "is this good or bad?" when I am assessing something, when I am considering something. IMHO, everything has a little bit of good AND bad in it. It is the amount of good or bad that seems to be most addressed.
Shakespeare says that there is nothing good or bad but thinking makes it so. Dr. Robert Anthony says that there is nothing good or bad, just different sets of consequences.

Either/or thinking is just not something I do. But if I am seeing more of the spectrum of colors, I adore it.
