I was talking more to the people who didn't believe cats could or would work in packs or thought a pack of kitties weren't dangerous. though considering a cat can jump about 5 or 6 times its body length from a standstill it climbing u might not be the issue. and as for tough it was only once bit I've personally seen a cat beat the hell put of a Doberman one on one.  sorry for the typos my phone's autocorrect hates me

I think we have over looked one possible reason for this attack.

This was a hunting attack.  The story does say one of the cats took a bite out of her.  Slim chance but maybe

I bet the dog had something to do with it. Maybe some of the cats were mothers and had young kittens nearby. Dog goes sniffing around a bush and goes after the kittens, that would cause the mother cats to flip out.

Cats are stronger than many peole think. Maybe six cats could do some damage to a small person if they had the motivation

She was walking a dog.  I am guessing that may have had something to do with it.  Perhaps dogs had attacked them at some point and that set them off.

I'm picturing the poodle looked something like this:

Any street cat would flip out if it saw something like this walk down its street.

I was attacked by a cat once.  It was just a quick Bite-and-Run, but it still left scars, caused some kind of under-the-skin build-up(which eventually cleared itself) and bruised my entire calf.  A feral cat is indeed dangerous.
