Selfies are known for being awkward close ups snapped on a smart phone by celebs or teenagers, but experimental artist Alex DeForest has found a way to bring beauty back to the self-portrait.

The Phoenix photographer uses flashlights, fiber optic toys and other props to create these amazing self-portraits which he captures by triggering his camera's remote with his toe.

Interesting and different. Not sure how I feel about them, but the second photo I can relate to. Looks like I feel. Maybe that is the point, idk.

P.S. Just to be clear, because sometimes I am not. I do not believe...
in the existence of a large previously unknown undiscovered hairy biped roaming North America.
But I like to hear the accounts, read the books, watch the shows, discuss and argue about the phenomenon.
