The timing of his home computer searchs is important because it could coincide with RG inquirey about erasing the drive to co-workers.
I have read a number of different versions as to when the computer searches were said to have been done. Shawn Weaver stated that the searches occurred in the months before RG went missing, but I recall a mention of it being stated that it was 'a month before he went missing'. I would guess this would have been the time when RG would have been receiving information from the AG's office regarding the TLee heroin bust. Not certain where such information would be sent to the DA, possibly on a disk he then chose to review on laptop? Possibly someone wanted that or some other information, as Bob Buehner, DA friend, thought.
It was also the period of time when he and LMarshall were likely preparing for the shaken-baby case with jury selection upcoming the beginning of April and the introduction of new attorneys to the death penalty case, with time and pressure closing in fast. Whether there were ever meetings at RG's home, thus giving someone the opportunity to do a couple of quick searches doesn't seem likely considering it would mean someone else planned RG's disappearance a month before? I think that seems unlikely but possible................depending on how much might have been at stake for that person. For one it meant 30-40 years in prison; for another, IF RG hadn't disappeared, long term prison or death penalty. With RG's disappearance, instead a free ticket home to another country.
I continue to see the latter as holding the highest possibility, with either LM possibly inadvertently 'spilling the beans' to someone which caused a set-up, or RG's refusal to allow the state to pressure him to change his mind about the case.
