Channelling

Leonard Farra: Channelling, for those unfamiliar with the subject, involves a medium, in trance, communicating with one or more sitters. Some people believe the messages come from discarnate entities whilst others insist that it’s either the medium’s sub-conscious mind or a hoax. What is apparent, to those who have experienced this strange phenomenon, is that whilst some messages appear to be genuine, negative forces sometimes try to get through and so every communication must be judged on its merit.

Um ... yeah ... whatever ... like Jay Z. Knight of the 1980s in the Pacific Northwest who channeled "Ramtha," said (by her, of course) to be a Lemurian warrior who battled the Atlanteans 35,000 years ago.

Celebrities such as Linda Evans, Salma Hayek and Shirley MacLaine flock to her fenced, massive home near Yelm, Washington to learn the "wisdom" of this ancient warrior.

And to pay handsomely for the privilege of doing so, of course.

J.Z. (rhymes with Pay Me) has made an exceptional living off channeling for decades.

Interestingly, the wisdom of Ramtha doesn't come cheap. Wisdom offered by the Bible, Koran, Marcus Aurelius, Torah, Shakespeare and other sources is free -- but a 35,000-year-old warrior needs cash. Lots of it. Gotta keep that 67-year-old host body pampered and tuned, you understand.

Pay Me ... er ... J. Z. needs that 12,800-square-foot French chateau-style home and the hundreds of acres around it to find true enlightenment. The frequent rides on expensive horses help too.

Channeling is a hoax. At the very least, it's a delusion by those who practice and spread it. The sooner people decry it loudly, the better off the world will be.

Don't forget Jane Roberts, another fraud who claimed to be channeling some space spook called "Seth".

Some of the things this figment of her imagination came up with was really stupid.

So many frauds came and fortunately went.
