For most of us, a vintage bag is one that's pilfered from a relative's closet, or dug up in a charity shop.

But a bag which goes on display in the UK for the first time from today puts even the most sought-after vintage arm candy to shame

Believed to be the oldest in the world, the 700-year-old bag originates from the city of Mosul in Northern Iraq and is on show at the Courtauld Gallery in London until May.

Surely there's been some mistake.  There are hundreds of these bags available on eBay.  (If you're prepared to wait 3wks for delivery from China)

Just don't chew on it. It may be toxic.
