These remarkable creatures look like beings from another world - indeed, we know more about the surface of the moon than the deep sea habitat where they live.

Alexander Semenov spent hundreds of hours diving at sites across the globe, documenting rarely seen marine organisms including sea butterflies, marine worms and sea angels.

Very nice.  Every time I see photos of deep sea creatures, there is a new one I haven't seen before.  Like the sea butterfly.

I am another anonymous face in the crowd. I am just another tiny wheel in the machinery of the world I live in.

Seeing beasts like this always bring me back to thinking what lies beneath Europa.

Gorgeous animals.  I wouldn't want to touch them, mind you, but they are gorgeous just the same!
