A dead animal found in a packet of Kettle Chips has been identified as a shrew and not a mouse as first thought.

An in-depth probe by Kettle Foods has also found that the animal did not get into the bag when the crisps were being packaged.

The grim discovery was made by John Hughes and his wife Elinor whilst they were munching their way through a bag at their Conwy Valley home.

Surely there are better ways to tame a shrew.  :(

Aren't Walkers running a competition for a new flavour crisp?

Dead Shrew flavour has a nice ring to it...

This kind of manipulation seems to become quite popular to put a blame on some food companies/stores I think.

If you're as shrewd as those folks you can get one for free and sell the story to the media.  Win/win!

A shrewd person might suspect that when the chips were first opened,  the waft of air emerging from the packet might have been a clue that something was not quite right...

Well thank goodness it was a shrew and not a mouse.

Did the shrew die from eating the crisps?

Who is the skeptic: the realist who won't accept belief, or the believer who won't accept reality?
