A zoo worker taking part in an escape drill was shot when a vet believed that he was a real gorilla.

Quote

The peculiar incident took place at Loro Parque Zoo on the Spanish island of Tenerife where staff members were participating in a drill to practice emergency procedures in the event of a gorilla escaping from its enclosure.

What a great example of the importance of communication in the work place.

Hopefully the victim makes a full recovery, and the vet goes to the opticians.

I've flown from one side of this galaxy to the other. I've seen a lot of strange stuff, but I've never seen anything to show me where the hell Helen of Annoy has been for the past couple of months.

Makes me wonder what the Vet was drinking?

Don't know why as soon as i read the headline i thought of will ferrell in old school lol

"If it is not advantageous,do not move.If objectives can not be attained,do not employ the army.Unless endangered do not engage in warfare. The ruler cannot mobilize the army out of personal anger. The general can not engage in battle because of personal frustration. When it is advantageous, move;when not advantageous, stop.Anger can revert to happiness, annoyance can revert to joy,but a vanquished state cannot be revived, the dead cannot be brought back to life." It must have been a darn good gorilla suit to have fooled the vet.  I can only imagine how stooopid! he/she would be feeling.

I hope the fellow who got needled will be alright.

Should have gone to Spec Savers.

I must not fear. Fear is the Mind-Killer. It is the little death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and to move through me. And when it is gone I will turn the inner eye to see it's path.
When the fear is gone, there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

You may think you're cool, but you'll never be as cool as Peter Capaldi with an electric guitar, on a tank, playing the Doctor Who theme.

News Flash! Finally proof! A Bigfoot was tranquilized at a Spanish Zoo today and the body has been taken to a hospital for examination. We are waiting outside the hospital for a press conference where we will finally get to the bottom of what thousands of witnesses are seeing in the woodlands of the world.
