If you asked a guy in the 1960s what he thought we'd be driving today, he'd probably think about what he'd seen in a popular TV science-fiction show of the time and say "a hover car."

Somewhere inside Toyota there's a team of engineers who still have that 1960s innocence, as Toyota managing officer Hiroyoshi Yoshiki has just revealed the company is working on a real-life hover car, or at least investigating the potential.

I'd rather a driverless car over a hover car.

Concentrate on developing cleaner, more efficient ways to power cars before trying to reinvent the way they maneuver in traffic.

And to think I used to respect your point of view...

Sorry Bast, only teasing. Hover cars look so much more fun than driver-less cars to me.

Don't worry I am sure the driver-less hover car prototype will be announced soon enough.

I've flown from one side of this galaxy to the other. I've seen a lot of strange stuff, but I've never seen anything to show me where the hell Helen of Annoy has been for the past couple of months.

If an efficient hover system is introduced (I know its unlikely) moving forward will create no friction and possibly cleaner more efficient motoring.
