Iraq invaders threaten nuke attack on Israel

WASHINGTON – The well-organized army of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, or ISIS, claims it has access to nuclear weapons and a will to use them to “liberate” Palestine from Israel as part of its “Islamic Spring,” according to a WND source in the region.
...

ISIS has been working with a “new specialized” unit organized at the beginning of 2013 to focus “exclusively on destroying the Zionist regime occupying Palestine.”   emphasis added

----------------------

I believe I have mentioned this in another thread, the last "S" in ISIS can take on three different meanings, depending on context - either Syria, Damascus, or the Levant.

Since many ME reports prefer the latter context, it is assumable that that is the intended context by ISIS itself. And that fact is clearly showing itself here, since Israel is completely within the Levant. It seems for certain that ISIS wants to make the Levant - especially and including Israel, part of a Muslim Caliphate.

Not surprising, terrorists will use them anywhere, if they ever got their hands on them , like some said who or what country do you fight if it ever came to that. Its Like one Senator said in retaliation we just would have to bomb Mecca. No desent loving Muslim would want to see that happen, wish they could get their acts together over there.

I doubt you could find a Muslim anywhere in the world (who takes their religion seriously) who DOESN'T want to take Jerusalem.  As to the nukes - God forbid they should be telling the truth. I think if that happened then the capitals of every M.E. country would become glass parking lots.

Would a muslim really attack the Dome of the Rock?  Think about it .....

Thinking about it.....

I once spoke about all things ME with a friend, who had traveled to the ME at one time.
I said that I didn't think that "nuclear" was really a threat because anyone who ever did that would have to know that Israel would takes its entire arsenal and empty it out on every Muslim country around them. No one would do that, right?

She said to me that I do not realize just how crazy those religious extremists are over there, they would if they could.

Interesting.

Oh I have no doubt about the insanity of extremists .... however I think they are religious extremists and therefore would have a problem with destroying the place on earth where their prophet was said to have been raised up to heaven from.  It would be a crime directly against the most sacred monument they have.

For everyone that worries because the U.S. is not involving itself in Iraq, Israel will take care of this.

Israel has a right to exist, (and for that matter, before we get into a debate, I believe Palestine does as well) and has a right of self-defense.

With that being said, now that ISIS has made this claim, will Iran suddenly support them? I say that in jest but I'm curious, whose hate is stronger... Sunni vs Shi'ite or Sunni vs Israel or Shi'ite vs Israel.

What is taking Isreal so long then? They need to step up their game and infiltrate. But do you think if Israel goes in U.S will assist. That could be the start to a major war?

1) They're lying.  At least for now.  They wouldn't be so stupid as to announce things like this before hand (well, most are that stupid, but overall, there has to be someone a bit smarter calling the shots).  They're playing to the camera as a circus show of strength.

2) They can threaten Israel all they want to.  Once it is confirmed that they can carry out any of their threats, Israel will roll right over them with efficiency, brutality, and finality.  It's always cute to see Israeli tanks plowing through the smoking wrecks that tried to do their country harm.

And that will be the end of the ISIS.  And whoever is bankrolling them.

Hida is right I believe. If a group or a country was really going to nuke another, it wouldn't openly advertise that it was going to.

Without dropping names (you know who you are), since policy is all it takes to determine who's anti-Semitic, pretty much the entire world is anti-Semitic, sans the US.

Of course their morale must be sky-high.   Not to mention they were outnumbered some 20:1, or 50:1.  The Iraqi army we've been arming and training for 10 years is getting walked over because they're "ragtag" as compared with ISIS?

Who forgot to take a big pile of taxpayer dough and buy loyalty with it?

Meh.... I'm not going to lose any sleep.

This sounds like architypal Arab overblown rhetoric, with a dash of deranged Islamic mouthfoamings.

I can't give ANY credence to the idea of Pakistan giving ISIS access to an atomic bomb. The Pakistani's regard their nuclear weapons as strategic deterrents against India, and they are configured for use with long-range missiles. Putting one into portable form would not be an entirely trivial task, even if Pakistan where willing to 'dilute' its deterrence capability. (it only has a handful of nukes, so every one is precious).

As for destabalising Jordan, well... good luck with THAT one. King Abdullah has proven rather popular of late, and the Nation itself remarkably stable. Despite the best efforts of the Muslim Brotherhood, the Arab Spring uprisings left Jordan relatively unscathed. Whilst it IS a Sunni country, it is also relatively well-off, and with a strong national identity: hardly fertile soil for ISIS to plant the seeds of insurrection, as they did in Northern Iraq.

In addition, the Jordanian armed services are professional, highly trained, well equipped, and loyal ! They have an expanded Special Forces group specialising in desert warfare and counter-insurgency, backed by hundreds of tanks, self-propelled artillary, APC's. They've got a reasonably modern air force (F16's), good intelligence gathering/analysis.... the list goes on.

If ISIS tries to intervene in Jordan, I believe it will be entering a mincing machine.

Thank Heaven! the crisis, The danger, is past,
And the lingering illness Is over at last—
And the fever called "Living"
  Is conquered at last.
