There are no howls after a pack of wolves managed to get into a polar bear enclosure at a Winnipeg zoo.

The Assiniboine Park Zoo says it has made some changes after the wolves dug a tunnel from their enclosure to visit the bears.

At least it was not otters getting into the penguin enclosure.....as they are natural enemies and will stop at nothing to kill and consume one and anther.

No indication of how deep the fence went; at the wolf trust where I used to volunteer all fences went 3m below ground level

The zoo staff have no idea where the wolves got the shovels and wheelbarrows.

I wonder how it went.  The lead wolf says "Hey, guys!  I can see the surface.  We're free! (stares a polar bear in the face)  Oh, s&%t!  Guys, turn around - FAST!"

I'm doing a quick reply... but... Otters (Sea Otters) and Penguins are not natural enemies... They don't live near each other.

I can only hope it was a joke, as I don't believe there has ever been a case of a Sea Otter eating penguins in the wild. Unless somebody was cruel and put either thousands of miles where they should be.

Wolves must've been trying to get something they saw in the polar bear's house.

Just hoping that the wolves are being treated properly.
