Dinosaurs could be roaming the Earth today instead of humans if they had not fallen victim to colossal bad luck, according to new research led by Scottish scientists.

An international team of palaeontologists used the latest fossil records and analytical methods to reconstruct events leading to the demise of the prehistoric creatures around 66 million years ago.

Anything that wipes out your entire species certainly isn't *good* luck!

I wouldn't call it bad luck. I prefer the term being at the wrong place at the wrong time.

The Earth has been hit before many times and you have no claim to back it up

Sorry, I was reading a few articles on Murphy's Law recently. When I replied, I was thinking in terms of its motto: anything that can go wrong will go wrong. You can wear a scarf adorned with rabbit's feet braided with four leaf clovers only to get caught on an escalator and choke to death.
