A man set fire to his house trying to get rid of some ants in Rotherham.

The man doused an ants' nest in petrol before setting it alight, South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.

Flames quickly spread along a garden hedge before the man's house caught fire, melting plastic guttering, a plastic window frame and a garden chair.

Crazy! I'll put up w/ the little black ants I have, thanks anyway.

On nature Doc, they said the only thing that would stop African ants was fire.

Also, ants are the only other animal besides humans that keep herds of other animals, (mealy bugs and aphids) and they know beforehand when it's going to rain, and carry their 'livestock' to cover before it does!!
