Mapusoul Posted October 31, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 31, 2014 (edited) Hey guys and gals, I found an Italian site about UFOs in art: http://sprezzatura.i...te/Arte_UFO.htm Some interesting images below... This painting is in a former convent in the Romanian town of Sighisoara. In it you can see a disk shaped object which emanates a plume of smoke, flying over a house. The time when this picture was painted, though the church in which it is located was built in the fourteenth century is unknown. A similar form can be found in an illustration of a Roman book of the Renaissance called "Prodigiorum liber", the author Jules Obsequens, which is also dated to the middle of the fourteenth century. Something similar can be found in coins such as this, which also is accompanied by a haunting legend, "OPPORTUNUS ADEST" which can be translated as "present at the right time." seeder Posted October 31, 2014 #4 Share Posted October 31, 2014 Reminds me of this XD Not surprising seeing as its the same vid, however the uncut vid is 3 hours, the cut vids, as I posted, are just ten mins long, so they get to the point much quicker. But if you were aware they have been debunked, why post it?

stereologist Posted November 3, 2014 #8 Share Posted November 3, 2014 These AA claims about artwork is really lame to say the least. One of the lamest has to be the claim from EVD that images in paintings of a being sitting in a round shell that has spikes sticking out of it in an asymmetrical fashion are something other than the Sun and Moon. JesseCuster Posted November 3, 2014 #10 Share Posted November 3, 2014 (edited) Interesting enouch they are intriguingly similar. It's not really interesting at all. Watch the video seeder linked above which puts a lot of the "UFOs in art" claims into their correct artistic context and explains what they really mean. It does a good job of explaining how the ancient aliens crowd don't have a clue what they're talking about. What actually IS interesting is how often the ancient aliens crowd regularly use low-res images of medieval and renaissance art that obscures what is actually in the real artwork and how they refuse to understand the art in its correct religious context.
