'Eternal' camera can take pictures forever

Still Waters

Recommended Posts

A camera powered by the light it uses to take pictures has been invented by American scientists.

The camera generates power by converting some of the light falling on its sensor into electricity that is then used to take a snap.

Theoretically the self-powered device could take a picture every second, forever.

The camera's creators are now refining the device and are looking into ways to commercialise the technology.

Carry on with this and add it with the solar panels, the electricity companies must be pooping themselves.

That is great! You could forget the camera part and use this technology as an adapter to recharge your digital camera. All you need is to leave it out on your windowsill on a sunny day. Really though, when they advance it further I'm interested in seeing how good the photos get.

As the eternally lazy King of All Narcissists I need a minimum of 1 pix snapped of me every second until the cosmos ends, but I surely don't have the time to do it all myself.

This product will fit all of my requirements.
