seeder Posted October 8, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 8, 2015 I think I will wait a while to see how this affects others, long term The lightsaber for your FACE: Skarp razor blasts bristles with laser light to 'melt' hair Molecules in hair contain chromophores responsible for giving it colour These chromophore particles absorb certain wavelengths of light One chromophore in particular 'melts' when hit with a specific wavelength Experts have now used fitted a laser with this wavelength onto a razor http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-3263488/The-razor-cuts-LASER-125-Skarp-blasts-bristles-light-melt-hair.html#ixzz3nyBbJDiQ
Mikko-kun Posted October 8, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 8, 2015 Might be a veeery good thing for men with too coarse facial hair, and for women too with other body parts. No matter what tricks I use I still cut myself with any razor too often, moustache of steel is hard to cut so you end up cutting skin too. This could be a game-changer!

Still Waters Posted October 13, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 13, 2015 It seems not everyone is happy about this product. A crowdfunding campaign for a razor blade which its US creators claimed could remove facial hair with a laser beam has been suspended by Kickstarter. The device had attracted more than $4m (£2.6m) in funding - but reportedly did not have a working model. http://www.bbc.co.uk...nology-34516907
karmakazi Posted October 13, 2015 #5 Share Posted October 13, 2015 There's a light based hair removal for legs & such for a while... I forget what it's called but I read up on it and that one only works if the hair is fairly dark and the skin is fairly light...this one sounds much better!
