Still Waters Posted December 2, 2015 #1 Share Posted December 2, 2015 Dr Stephen Brusatte, a paleontologist with the University of Edinburgh, and his colleagues identified the fossilized dinosaur footprints, large and small, in layers of rock, which would have been at the bottom of a shallow, salt water lagoon when the prints were made. The sauropod footprints were left in sediment nearly 170 million years ago (Jurassic period). They are the first sauropod tracks to be found in Scotland. http://www.sci-news....skye-03480.html

SD455GTO Posted December 2, 2015 #3 Share Posted December 2, 2015 The footprints appear to stagger around. Perhaps a little too much Talisker Scotch?
Eldorado Posted December 2, 2015 #4 Share Posted December 2, 2015 The footprints appear to stagger around. Perhaps a little too much Talisker Scotch? Yep. And perhaps more of a rave than a disco. The good doctor obviously hasn't been out on the town for some time. (lol)

Sundew Posted December 7, 2015 #10 Share Posted December 7, 2015 (edited) Wonder if technology can bring back the dinos. So nice if there could be a real jurassic park. Scenery too was beautiful.. I would guess that's unlikely, but you never know, today's science fiction is often tomorrow's science fact. The problem would be even finding any surviving DNA. You have to have some starting point. Let's see if they can bring back the Mammoth or the Thylacine, then we'll talk dinosaurs. Edited December 7, 2015 by Sundew
