news icon rRemote viewing is nothing new in Tibetan monasteries. For thousands of years remote viewing in the middle of other spiritual activities have dominated Tibetan culture. What some Indian tourists came to learn from a few Tibetan monasteries under the current Chinese rule is extremely alarming and fascinating.

According to these tourists remote viewers are seeing world powers in the course of self-destruction. They also see that the world will not be destroyed.

That's amazing!!! Does this mean there is a connection between remote viewing and UFO's? Maybe all the powers as telekinese, pyrokinese,... are all gifts of the Aliens to let us know that they are peacefull.

What is remote viewing
So you have come this far and still you understand nothing. Every light must fade, every heart return to darkness! Behold the endless abyss! Within it lies the heart of all worlds

It's like foretelling the future, except you are telling the present instead. What the monks are supposed to have done is not remote viewing.

Actually they did use remote viewing for a little bit. They know more about the UFO's then they're telling us. They know they're out there

Remote viewing is the ability to see at a distance through a relax state. It can be compared to astral traveling, expect in this case, it is more of a projection. Just research a bit on it even the US military have made some study on it for quite a while.

As for this article. I wonder if it is really truthfull. This makes me remember about all the prophecies of the mayan or what we could make out of it for 2012.

I will say the same thing as I did for the Mayan, I will see when we get there. If it happens I will be ready. So thanks for the warning. But in the meantime, I will live my life as if nothing is there. How many prophecies have not happened...

Aquatus, if it is not remote viewing, could you explain what technique they used?

Assuming they actually did anything and this isn't simply another story derived from the active imagination of a somewhat biased author, with a bunch of unsespecting monks as the root? As a skeptic, I would call it creative imagery; basically the result of focused daydreaming (an oxymoron, I know). As far paranatural abilities go, seeing anything in the future, particularly disaster, is referred to as prophecy.

I had the same feeling.....the date 2012 comes up just too often. It sounded just a bit too convenient...but then again who knows...Perhaps it is the truth

You may be right on this one about remote viewing but then again...perhaps some are indeed able to practice it. And yes, telling the future is not remote viewing.

If anything tibetan monks strive to see reality as it is. They are the biggest skeptic from what I could see. They question everything of reality and most of all perception. We rarely hear from them, they tend to keep to themselves. That is another thing that stroke me as odd. I know of many boudhist, they always keep to themselves and never do I hear them talk about this kind of stuff. They do, but they question it like any other scientific.

To go out and claim that it will happen....I have never heard of Boudhist doing this unless of course they are 100% sure.....but how can you really be about these kind of things.

Now as for them having these abilities....if anybody could do it. I would say them. They work everyday toward enlightment, meditate to further understand their mind and body. If they devellop pshycic powers, I would not be surprise.

This is just to odd.....Budhist monk are about understand life as it is and striving for enlightment. It is the most down to hearth practice I have seen. NEVER...NEVER did they say prophecies about anything.... Maybe they changed their mind

I tend to question the validity of this article....or perhaps the tourist misunderstood.....who knows

thinking of it....I will show this article to Budhist monk, and see what they think about it...I'll will come back with update

for anyone who may have been curious....actually I was surprised.
Bouddhist monk are actually encouraged to develop these abilities. It is said Oracle and medium are quite common among them.....

There is not big propheices among them like we can see with the Bible etc....but they still have some from their Oracles from time to time....

Ho well...we will see if they fall into the false prophecie category in 2012 or not.....

Less oxygen make people kindof crazy, right.

These monks live so high in the mountains I am afraid that it is taking its toll.

BUt i don't mind that nuclear war stuff, we can all hope for Bush to be killed or de-elected. That would be another step in a better peacefull world.

And what the heck, if they are right we are gonna be saved.

it seems odd that this article isn't all over the news, since this is indeed "news". Maybe our government banned this to not scare people, but i think this story would be more valid if it was in the news.

The part of the "Divine Intervention" they speak of sounds "righteous", to say the least. innocent.gif

THE MONKS are people with clean souls.
Their mind was set on the frequency of the DIVINE.
They could get messages straight from GOD.
Don't be scared of what you cannot see, your only fear is possibility,
never wondered what the hell went wrong, your second chance may never come along.
Hold on now your exits here, it's waiting just for you,
don't pause too long its fading now, its ending all too sooooon,
you'll see. ~pete murray~

Probably becasue there was no real way for us to completly destroy ourselves, there wasn`t enough nuclear weapons to do the job!
