Hey MC,

I'm not too sure how relevant this is too your topic of fractal patterns, but the idea reminded me of one of my favourite artists by the name of

**Mauritz C Escher.** He was fascinated by mathematical concepts and tried to convey them in his artwork.

One of the more complicated theories he portrayed was that of

**hyperbolic space ** (or 4th dimensional space). Although I find this subject very confusing, according to the book Fermat’s last theorem by S. Singh,

* “four-dimensional space is a mathematically valid concept and it is the extra dimension that gives the modular forms such an immensely high level of symmetry.”*Anyways, it’s quite hard to explain, so check out Escher’s circle limit IV for yourself

"Superstition created all the gods and angels, all the devils and ghosts, all the witches, demons and goblins, gave us all the augurs, soothsayers and prophets, filled the heavens with signs and wonders, broke the chain of cause and effect, and wrote the history of man in miracles and lies" ~ Robert Green Ingersoll
