Is there any cryptid plants. If there is cryptid animals why isn't there any plants? Of course sasquatch sighting would make the news far before "the blue rose has been spotted" Is there any? wacko.gif unsure.gif dontgetit.gif Please tell me if you know thumbsup.gif

P.S I made the blue rose thing up, first thing that came to mind

technically there can't be a cryptid plant becasue a cryptid is an animal, not a plant! lol, but yeah this is interesting, but not likely. I mean think about it, if there was a plant that hadn't been see n before, scientists would jsut be albe to study it when they find it or see it. with an animal there are variable like behavior, so if there are any unknown plants, whenver they're found, they would be discovered.

Claim to fame One of the world's oldest and rarest trees
Scientific name Wollemia nobilis
Family Araucariaceae
Relatives Kauri, Norfolk Island, Hoop, Bunya and Monkey Puzzle pines
When discovered 1994
Where discovered 200km west of Sydney in a rainforest gorge within the 500,000 hectare Wollemi National Park in the Blue Mountains
Discovered by David Noble, a NSW National Parks and Wildlife Officer and avid bushwalker
Age The Wollemi Pine belongs to the 200 million year old Araucariaceae family
Oldest known fossil 90 million years
Wild population Less than 100 mature trees
Characteristics Conifer with attractive, unusual dark green foliage, bubbly bark and sprouts multiple trunks
Growth habit Fast growing in light, favours acid soils, and temperatures from -5-45°C
Size The largest wild Wollemi Pine in the rainforest gorge is 40m tall with a main trunk of 1.2m wide

If someone found a "cryptid" plant,then why not take it home for research?I mean GOD,this topic is pathetic.If a plant is made (like a blue rose) then it was MADE...duh.

i don't see what could be a cryptid plant... except junlge explorers making up stuff... like a 39457 foot tall flower that feeds on the feet of small children.
