upon waking up this morning, i decided to doze and relax. I then sort of flowed into deciding i would meditate - sort of a spontaneous decision. The thing is, i began to dream - sort of. I could tell i wasn't asleep because it didn't have the 'dream feel' to it - and i could still hear my dog scratching at my door, a little more frantic than usual BTW.

The dream was of me, walking our onto a great grassy plain, in the distance was a great golden version of the collesseum in its pride and glory. Then i looked down, and walking towards me was a great man, covered in golden roman armor. He smiled at me, then gave me two sword length poles - i didnt look at them. He then raised two weaspons of his own, and we sparred for about three seconds before my dogs scratching knocked me out of it.

Afterwards, i feel energetic, alive, not a tad sleepy...and a bit special too original.gif

where do you live? if you live near a coffeeshop, i can tell you what happened......
So you have come this far and still you understand nothing. Every light must fade, every heart return to darkness! Behold the endless abyss! Within it lies the heart of all worlds

Had you watched Gladiator recently? Is it one of your favourite films? Do you have a fascination with ancient Roman culture? Sounds like a daydream to me kiddo... original.gif

If I wake up in the morning(my morning is around 1) and go back to sleep it is alot easier for me to dream... ive always been able to dream if I fall asleep quickly after I wake up, and this sounds very similar.

Yep, that is Battle Meditation. If you use it correctly in conjunction with physical training, you can enhance you skills by combining the body and the mind.
You know the mind is powerful, and the body is strong, so together they will be even better!!

I often use battle meditation if I'm having trouble learning a new technique. When you see it in your mind, your body will believe you can do it. And when you try it, you'll see yourself doing it and you will achieve your goal.

Its very cool.

Well that makes sense, a lot of kung fu masters do this. I thought Boli_Delish was saying he was battling with someones else mind.

You can use it for anything that demands hand eye cordination, surgeons, dentist etc or physical training like martial arts, and sports. All you got to do is meditate until relaxed, then visualize the technique you want to learn, to the very last detail that it is almost real. Combine that with actually doing the physical exercises then you will mentally be prepared and physically prepared, that it will come to you like instinct.

Um... no. But I can give you the tech. Simply get in a comfortable position,(lying down or sitting in a chair) and close your eyes and see yourself in an open area. This could be anywhere you want. Now see yourself practicing whatever it is you want to get better at. (I see myself dressed like Neo and practicing so cool moves!) Anyway, if you want to get better at any Martial art moves it might help to spawn yourself a training partner.

If this doesn't make sence then ask me to explain any of the finer points.

Keep practicing! thumbsup.gif
