I am pretty sure it is confirmed now. It is often mistaken for a flying craft.

I've seen a ball lightning ones. It was a ball of very bright, purple and white light, and it was rolling on the electric wires of the railway. Just for a few seconds, and then it was like a very loud blast and it was gone. Very, very neat, and scary !! original.gif
They are very real..Ive seen a show on tv where they could produce ball lightning, allthough those were very small and very brief.
Sometimes you can see little fires appearently floating in swampy areas. They are made from the gas in the swamp wich starts to burn spontaniously.

In a shockingly high percentage of cases the balls actually entered buildings through windows and doors.

Strange, I remember reading a story from around the 1600s of a 'ball of fire' flying through an old tavern in England (?), people suspected it was the devil or some such thing. ohmy.gif

Can they be created in a lab using tesla coils etc?

i have a photo of what i think is ball lightning...but not positive...anyways..here it is...
also...an old farmer friend of mine from fallon, nevada, told me once, that ball lightning bounced across his field, passed straight through the glass of his sliding glass door, then hit and exploded his cast iron wood stove...don't know if his story is real, but the stove did look like a bomb hit it. yes.gif

Ball lightning is almost certainly a very real phenomenon indeed.
