That sentence in particular killed it for me.
Also, the strange occurrences at exactly that time is nonsense. Time [as on a clock] is created by man, why in the world should a paranormal occurrence [beyond all human regulations] take place within these regulations? Why is midnight such a scary time? The time doesn't even show the exact TRUE time. There's timezones of course, but actually that's just to make things easy, because it depends on the position of the sun and the season and in that case, time should shift minutes already when you travel east to west or vice versa with a certain speed. Pro or con the direction of the sun...
I feel I'm not getting to my point, but I'm sure you understand. Or you might not even give a sh** and just want to read Scaaaaarryyyy stories, boooo!
