They would have alot more help because there would be a lot more money and aid to send to them. But we have used our money to kill people instead of help them.

Yes Joc her reply proves here quote as valid, because there are so many idiots that think America and the UK are helping Iraq.

You really should not be suggesting other people are idiots, going on you make fun of people punching babies in the face, also goes to prove Ajagsfairy's quote.

No need for personal shots.  no.gif

I wonder what we are doing for the Iraqi people then, if not helping them.  rolleyes.gif

You can hate war all you want, but to say we aren't helping is plain ignorant because if you look around... soldier's giving kids shoes, rebuilding and giving them their own freedom... surely that is helping... and not "evil".

Don't you have a sense of humor? Lighten up a little....do you ever laugh?

I laugh all the time just not as people walking up to babies in the street and punching them in the face.

Kratos I am aware that the army has done humanitarian things for people, and helped people, but in Iraqi its mostly killing, and making things worse and its for Americans own gain and nothing else.

You say I should not take personal shots, maybe your right, but Joc did just that calling Ajagsfairy a idiot and going on that Joc is forever making fun of sick things, I do not think he is in a position to be calling people names.

Hold your horses there Skippy!
We (Americans) have yet to see ANYTHING gained by this war.  And, as far as 'mostly killing', we certainly don't need to travel half-way around the world to do so...

OK now that is just .............. I do not think anyone has said that Bush is to blame for the devastation.

are the levies state or federal responsibility?
when did the supposed cuts occur?
would there have been enough time to strengthen the levies between now and when the cuts had occured?
what exactly is the percentage of national guardsmen from these states serving in Iraq?
how many helicopters would have been available had the iraq war not occured?

i can probably think of more unanswered questions this obviously biased article doesn't answer

Me_Again, I agree with you.  When I watch what is going on in New Orleans and the surrounding area I wonder were is the army to end the chaos and help people.     We are fighting two wars one in Iraq and one in Afghanistan.  The truth is that are our troops are stretched too thin.
I am not sure the city could have been saved, it is built in bad place.  I have heard it may never be rebuilt.  The thing is people are dieing there they need help.  I guess we didn't learn anything from Andrew when people went without food or water for weeks.
We now have a million people that are homeless, out of work with little more that what is in the car or on their backs.  We can't afford to continue to help the Iraqis, they are going to have to help themselves.
This is going to have ramification through out the country.  Don't think so?  Look at the price of gas.  Soon the price of food will be affected.  Look out kids things are going to get bad.
