according to a para-normal.com article, scientists received sonar from champ in some lake. i think it was china. but in a new update, in para-normal.com, they said they tried to find some sonar of nessie but found nothing. thus, concluding nessie is fake, and champ being real. so is champ really a plesiosaur or a freak of nature?

Both of these subjects were also covered in the news on this site,

Champ Sonar Finds

Loch Ness Monster Finds

There is no evidence to say that Champ is a Plesiosaur, the sonar findings were indicative of a whale or dolphin like creature.

I don't really see why they bother. If they're right that Champ does exist, what are they going to do about it? And if it doesn't, people are still going to believe what they want.

I find it kind of hard to believe that it does exist though.

the only way is get some whaler boat, capture it and send it to sea world, then air it on news. thats the only way we would believe in such a creature.

sea world? that's a long way away to put an extinct- pleaseosaur in a wooden box and sail away.

Why would you want to send it to sea world?  If Champ is found to really exist, it wouldn't have to be moved to a zoo for folks to believe its there.  Some already do.

Nothing to see here.

Dr. Roy P. Mackal. author and renowned Loch Ness investigator, always claimed that "Champ" was probably a relic species of the presumed extinct cetacean known as the basilosaurus. Unlike "Nessie", which he felt was another species all together, Mackal was convinced that the animal reported in lake champlain was a descendent of this snake-like whale.

Certainly not irrefutable proof, but it is at least intriguing... and these sounds seem like the best "evidence" to come down the Lake-Monster pike in some time.
