I have been for the last twenty two years of this life of mine searching for the answer to the Michael Rockefeller Mystery. This has been a painful and expensive journey and Iam left with little in the solved box.

There is not a book, magazine, video, documentary, and countless interviews I have personaly conducted with many in the know that I can say tell me even remotely what may have happened to that boy so long ago and so far away.

I have traveled to the Island chain and walked upon the stoney beach of Kanapua myself.
Nothing to claim as a sucess. Is anyone out there deeply interested in this lost soul?
I would be indeed interested in hearing any theories and what knowledge some may have that could help in my search for Michael Rockefeller.

I seem to remember reports from natives indicating that he had been killed by tribesmen. Does that ring a bell?

I indeed have spoken to many children and grandchildren in those tribes of which you refer on my trips. The stories are faded and warped by time and fear. I must make it clear that when I say I have been searching for 22 years, I mean 10 months out of the year each year this is what I do. Have spoken the the main charachters while still alive and to the Rockefeller family several times. This is a life mission for me, so yes, I do know all 10 or so theories and have tracked down countless leads and persons from bootleggers and missionaries to native chiefs and cannibals of many sorts.
Thank You, but Iam looking for a response from someone that may have knowledge that they themselves might not see as important, yet could help me tremedously.

It would be nice if someone tells us the story about Mr. Rockefeller.

I would be more than able to reveal all about the disapearance of Michael Rockefeller and his extroidinary short life. Later in the afternoon today I will post this. Perhaps someone will get a spark of a memory or of a lost conversation that will bring forth information, Michael's twin sister is still with us and I do almost all of my work in this aea now to help her to know, it use to be for his mother.

You must be rich to be able to spend that much time and resources to search. Good luck. By the way, what drives you on this. Was he a realitive?

No, not a relative, unless you speak in terms of feeling a connection to someone that feels like family yet you are not. When I was younger and extremely poor, brought up as an only child by a hard working single mother I spent many many days of my life alone. To fill the time without going crazy I would read an old set of Brittanica Encyclopedia's and got through all of them , Twice!!

In them I saw photos of the Michael Rockefeller wing of the Rockefeller Museum and was stunned at his collection and interested in how he obtained these poles and who he was. The more I learned the more I respected and admired his drive and loyalty to his passions.
Iam still poor and it fits me so Iam not looking to change that, Just got a bug to help his family find a resonable, well tracked down and sifted through answer to where that sweet, blonde little kid may have gone away to. Sounds bizarre even as I read it, it is the truth and I will hopefully find the truth no matter how ugly and unpalllitable it may be.

The Story Of Michael Rockefeller.....
Door bell, damn, I will write in a little while. Sorry.

Alright since no-one is interested in telling the story I'll tell it Emmm....

Michael Rockefeller was the son of the Gov of New York Nelson Rockefeller ( soon the VP )
He was rich because he was born into the family of John D. Rockefeller the Standard Oil muti-millionaire but he didn't follow in his fathers footsteps instead he lead a adventurous life as an archeologist and had a deep interest in anthropology in 1961 the 21 year old and a friend named Sam Putnam went to study the Dani culture in the Baliem Valley Michael loved the land on sight 6 months later his team returned to the USA but Michael stayed behind the study the Asmat tribes some of the stuff he collected is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York ( incase you want to see it ) but on November 18, 1961 to collect more artifacts he left the Christian missionary to the village of Atsj the crude catamaran he went on was overpowered by the strong current and was wissed out to sea and in a desperate attempt to life he tried to swim to shore......He was never seen again

Soon after his twin sister Mary organized an search to find him but it was in vain Michael was presumed dead A minister in the church were Michael stayed hours before he disappeared said that cannibals lived in the forest by the shore were Michael was swimming to these cannibals have never been investigated to see if they did eat Michael Rockefeller to this day the only theory that is widely accepted is he drowned in the rough currents...but the family says Michael is still out there living on the island peacefully with the natives

to this day none of the above theories have been fully proven

That is one theory that is incorrect. Many are not conclusive. The story above is about as close to the truth as someone describing a tree like this- Its tall. It lacks the whole truth. Whatever one believes and knows on the subject, Iam still interested in anyone who may know Mac Mackell, Donahue, or any other info . Thanks
