Based on brain-to-body mass ratio I would say Troodon. thumbsup.gif I wouldn't exactly count on the Jurassic Park movie for accurate information on dinosaurs (especially what they did to the raptors). tongue.gif

in the book the velociraptors are a significant part of the story, but never attack people like in the movie. They were the ususal three-foot-tall velociraptors, but the Spielberg decided to make them larger and more violent for dramatic purposes.

As I remember reading a few years  ago when I was big about dinosaurs , troodons had the largest brain.  geek.gif But then again maybe that doesn't necesairly mean they were the smartest, but I voted for them anyways. rofl.gif

How is it that you can judge a dinosaurs inelegance buy it's bones?
I mean I suppose we could measure the space in the cranium and take
an educated guess at which of the dinosaurs had the largest brain but
inelegance can not be judged without first hand interactions with the
animal in question. And I am sure this was thrown out there already
but they must not have been that smart considering they are all dead.

That doesn't mean that they are stupid. Cochroaches are very tough and hardy bugs that have adaptatons for surving the worst conditions.

yes but what are the size of there craniums hun>
The point of my paragraph being we can not judge
an animals intelligence by size. We need to get to
know the animal, maybe buy him a drink :0)

I voted for velociraptor.  Haven't you seen Jurasic ParK?  They were by far the smartest by that movies account.

Definitely the Troodon, who is also favored by the scientific community.

Quote

The smartest dinosaur, if you compare body size to brain size (a rough measurement of intelligence) is troodon. Troodon was a meat-eater the size of a man, with a brain as big as an avocado pit. It was not only the smartest dinosaur, but the smartest animal of dinosaur times, including our ancestors — the mammals of the Mesozoic Era.

-Scientists online

The dumbest was the stegosaurus-the size of a truck and the brain of a ping pong ball. grin2.gif

Jurassic Park was a butcher of scientific facts. Velociraptor was only 3 feet tall, not the movies 6-7. no.gif  Also, they were about as smart as your average ostrich, not all that brilliant if you ask me. They also didn't live in the Jurassic, they lived in the creoatious.(or however you spell it) rolleyes.gif

Never rely on Hollywood for actual facts.
