Astral Travel & My technique

I think many people are a bit confused between lucid dreams and this. I will try and describe the process.
Tiresome
|
Falling Asleep (remaining rather conscious)
|
transition, you may enter regular sleep here
|
Eventual Paralysis (This is difficult to get past, your body (and even a part of your mind) has gone to sleep, strange noises are heard and various objects and colours can be seen, it is very common to naturally fight against this (seemingly long) state, as it can be pretty unpleasant)
|
The state of Astral Projection (Here is where you literally feel like you have woken up, but your perception of vision is different, and the sounds heard are unimaginable, I personally believe it is very difficult to remain in this state for a long time).
I do believe in it, but I also believe that once you venture into this kind of stuff (Third Eye, Astral Projection, dream chasing etc) It will effect the way you sleep for life, by which I mean it will really annoy you.

was quite strange.
First of all early on when I was focusing my mind on trying to astral travel, for a split second
a vision of a huge snake with the head of a hawk flashed in my mind. Maybe because I was close to
seperation; this terrified me deeply. So I re-focused my mind and tried again. About 30 mins later
I felt my arms, legs, and torso (in that order) detache and start floating. However no matter how
hard I tried I couldn't get my head to project too. After a few minutes I felt an extreme presure on
my head and it felt like I was trying to breath with little air. Then my focus broke and I was back.
Not asking anything, just thought I would post my experience.
"The mystery of the beginning of all things is insoluble by us; and I for one must be content to remain an agnostic."
"Don't forget that your beliefs are meaningless unless your the one screaming loudest."
"Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one and they are all useful but selfserving."

I went to sleep without trying to astral travel at all, and had a mostly normal dream...that is until I REALIZED that I was dreaming.
Somehow I was conscious enough to think these words "oh my god....this is the perfect opportunity that i've been waiting for"
Forgetting that I needed a destination: I simply tried to project and leave my body....the result of that was me flying straight upwards while looking down in the little world that I had created in my dream.
Immediately afterwards, I could see myself sleeping for about 2 seconds and it seemed as though I came up from underneath my bed....I was lying on my side when I woke up but I did fall asleep on my stomach so I have no idea if that meant anything.
Well I was still tired, so I went back to sleep, but I thought to myself "i'm going to try again..." the result of this was the most obnoxious buzzing in my ear that I have ever experienced, and a floating sensation....
I feel like I'm close now. Only a matter of time...

I was sure this was lucid dreaming, but nothing has ever felt more real, and I felt very real, intense tingling in my body, I'm assuming these are the 'vibrations' that occur while one is beginning to AP.
My sister and I discussed this for quite a long time over the holidays, and I just returned from visiting her, and I had her words in my mind as I 'took over' in the dream, 'you have to believe it is possible, and think positively for it to happen.' These were the immediate thoughts I had as I realized I was dreaming, and I thought 'it's possible, I want to fly.' I, however, did not think the exact phrase, 'I want to astro-project/travel', but I think it was in my thought process.
So two nights ago, when this happened, I was in London on a street, under a bridge (no, it didn't fall down
Then, last night, I again realized I was dreaming and took control. This time I wanted to see how fast I could run, seeing that I was in a large green field, again on a very dark, cloudy day (without rain). Buildings sat on either side of the field, and I was next to one, walked away from it a good 100 feet or so I think, and took off running, with huge strides and wind blowing through my hair. I immediately, for some odd reason, looked around while running, and I was trying to find someone, almost looking for assurance, as I am now, that this was real. I wondered if I was astro-projecting, because I felt the vibrations again this time. As I neared the building, I tried to jump over it but couldn't. I jumped as I normally would. Maybe it was a lack of belief that I could jump over it, or maybe I was stuck between a dream state and a lucid dream state.
This is why I came here, looking for a couple interpretations. Any help would be incredibly appreciated! I'm amazed with AP, and I'm getting ready to try it tonight.
Any comments welcome. Thanks, and sorry for the long post!

I couldn't stop thinking about trying it all day, so I feel as if I may have been forcing the thought on myself, but eventually I focused on the high ringing that everyone seems to be able to hear when it's dead quiet in a room otherwise. I listened to it and thought, "I want to astral project, I am going to astral project." I focused on my breathing, that sound, and that thought. I envisioned myself sitting on the couch across the room from me, watching myself sleep, almost saying, "Come on, I'm your astral body, let's hang out, get out of there." Haha. Within about 15 minutes of attempting to focus my thoughts, I became very, very relaxed, and my body eventually went numb, from neck to toes. It actually felt incredibly good and relaxing, the part that was unpleasant (somewhat) was the twitching of my eyes. It was very rapid and a little scary, as was feeling my pulse rise and seemingly come to the surface of every part of my body. It was extremely loud and each time it got to the point I would tell myself this is what I want to do, I'm going to astral project, and it seemed to slow down and relax with me.
The kicker for me, I think at least, was a very cold feeling that I got. Not quite a wind, but more than a chill. I felt something else in the room with me. Hopefully my Spirit Guide or something
It all was very odd, but very cool and not as scary as I thought it might be. I'm going to try again tonight, but actually wait until I really am ready for bed. It took me too long to control my crazy thoughts. Man it's like a neverending jukebox up there...

What was happening to me?
Plus, it's hard for anyone that has ADD to do it because clearing your mind becomes a chore. I couldn't get this song out of my head. I had about 1 minute of complete solitude and that was when I attempted the manuveur and it had some weird physical effects on me.

It's good to see people are still posting their successes with AP in this thread - some of you appear to have advanced a great deal. I've recorded a notable experience or two which I may post here soon.
Hi Z
I found this site while searching google for astral projection and the afterlife. I read like 80plus of these pages. I have questions and would love some help please. My daughter died 5 weeks ago, she was 27. I've been a meditator off and on for 30 years. I want to develop the ability to communicate with her through meditation techniques, raising my vibration and astral projections. And I have been focusing on this for a couple of weeks and have felt her and have had a few experieinces of communicating.
I see the techniques you've been discussing for several years on this site are simple, and seem quite possible, but what about communicating with those who are on which ever dimension of the "other side" do you have any tips, suggestions or other links or books you could suggest?
Thank you for your assistance and response
Peace,

at this stage you must focus on Projecting to astral Realm
after mastering on astral projecting
in astral realm just focus your mind on your beloved daughter
she will appear to you in front of you
this is the law of astral realm
here in earth we name that "The law of Attraction"
this law acts as key role in astral realm
Good luck!
