They are actually considering making it legal. Similar to the pohibition once on alcahol, now on hemp. It would be a money saver.

Of course they are. I'm guessing you haven't heard of the Marijuana Party?

Well, just the way you said it made it sound like it was something surprising.

This is old news, people have been trying to legalize marijuana for years.

Old news, but never forgotten news.

I hope it can be legal.... HEMP that is, not just marijuana. The prohibition will end. cool.gif

I doubt it. Having a platform based entirely on making marijuana consumption/production legal probably isn't gonna get you many voters...how about the vast majority of citizens who want tangible changes in the government?

Tangible huh, what is a more tangible money saver? What will save money all over the world, as appose to just your country?

It should be legal worldwide! In the world front. Im not saying this just based on comsumption purposes, im saying that it's unimaginably easy to reproduce. Not to mention having many purposes that could save billions worldwide. Not just to smoke.

However, it's healthier to smoke than ciggs, despite what myths you have been told. No one has died from smoking it, some smoke like ya'll smoke cigarettes. thumbsup.gif

Interesting to say the least.

Can't say whether I believe it or not but I can say it wouldn't suprise me. many cultures used drugs as forms of spirituality and such.

Got my mojo workin but it just don't work on you

Just wanted to pop in and remind everyone since my last post that I am stressing that the substance THC, you know, what makes you buzz, is NON TOXIC. IT DOES NOT CONTAIN CARCINOGENS. SMOKING ANYTHING WILL HARM YOUR BODY. IF YOU SMOKE MAPLE LEAVES FOR 35 YEARS AROUND THE CLOCK, YOU WILL SUFFER THE SAME CONSEQUENCES.

Sorry for the caps lock, but since my post, I read a few more posts that spouted the same old propoganda that I've heard my whole life. Go to erowid.org, there's plenty of references that will show you the truth. Not some commercial on prime time TV.

Peace

P.S. And for all you who love to listen to the TV, especially daytime TV, ask Montel about marijuana.

Kaknelson, I'll agree that it's not depressing to me, and compared to alcohol, by far less of a depressant.

My biggest reason for the site reference was for the references on the site. I like to browse websites, but I don't like to reference a site unless it references itself. I've read a lot of BS, so I tend to be less trustful in general. Be skeptical, I think it leads to more truth.

Peace

Yea bredrin, i agree it was a good site, with A LOT of cool references, but anyone who has "smoked" it, will know that its not a depressent.

Although, there is always exceptions, some are illlegeric to it, just like anything. laugh.gif

Is Marijuana a stimulant or a depressant?

Marijuana is neither a stimulant nor a depressant; instead it is both at the same time. We get simultaneous stimulating and sedating effects with marijuana which is why it is so misunderstood by the medical profession and the scientists for whom “both / and” instead of an “either / or” ethic is in place.

Marijuana balances the autonomic nervous system (ANS) by its sedative / stimulant qualities which take place by its action on the hypothalamus part of the brain – the brain-center or the place from whence the autonomic system receives its instructions.

The ANS is that part of our system which is responsible for all non-voluntary activity of the body / mind, such as rate of heart beat, size of pupils, rate of breath, chemical mixes in body fluids, etc. The actual mechanism by which marijuana balances our automatic system is through the cannabinoid network which is the cellular receptor system that is compatible with the cannabis compounds, which are found all over our bodies.

The sedative / stimulant unique and healthful feature of marijuana was known more than 5000 years ago and is the reason the adepts employed marijuana for their spiritual practice. Only from the place of equanimity (balance of the autonomic nervous system) can one launch spiritual evolving.

I thought i'd post this little video i found. About legalization of hemp. It's a little lame, bare with it.

It is short and simple, strictly to the point.
