What I've heard, not sure if its true at all, in fact it probably isn't but oh well.

Way back in the days where 420 came from it was ok to do drugs, but not to be addicted, people somehow came up with the idea that you were not an addict if you could wait to smoke until 4:20 PM, if you needed it before, you were hooked.

Infact, some smoke everyday at 4:20pm.. i know ppl like this.

After reading and reading I've come to the conclusion it's a fact the 420 phenomenon started with Jerry Garcia's Time of Death.

This is the hour which clock stores and watchmakers traditionally used to advertize their wares, and the rumor is that that hour was picked because that was the hour in the morning at which Abraham Lincoln died.

But Honest Abe DIDNT die at that time, and the "7:20" is used in clock and watch advertizing because it gives a pleasing aesthetic balance.
