The link I post is current as of 3pm GMT on 15th June 2006. From experience it can and does change hourly, but I have seen something that I never have before.

A prediction of 40 deg C for one of the major cities.

I know temperatures exceed this, but in a major city a first for me.

Also noted that parts of SW USA have had their hottest Junes and have broken records set in 1912.
