Has anybody ever heard of the legend of the downingtown tunnels. If you aren't from the Tri-state area you probably haven't, but the legend states that there are two tunnels in downingtown and apparently if you go there at night and stop in the middle you can hear footsteps and a guy hanging himself. It is also said that back in the early 90s a woman was raped and murdered by a biker gang and her remains were put in a suitcase and left up in the tunnels. Apparently, in the one tunnel there is a spray-painted picture of a suitcase with a hand pointing to the words help me. I've been up to these tunnels numerous times but never seen or heard anything out of the ordinary. Has anybody else been up there?

It's in PA. I think Chester County or maybe it's bucks.

Oh ok i live in IL so i dont know but maybe i can do some research on it.

There isn't a whole lot about it. It's pretty cool though, my friends and I have explored it and wrote some stuff up about it on our website if you want to check it out. We have some pictures and stuff. It's a good place to take your girlfriends to scare them because of the darkness haha.

Downingtown - Twin Tunnels - Creek Rd off of Boot Rd in D-Town. Two tunnels connected by a sliver of open space with a wire connecting them. Stories say that a man hung himself from the wire. At the entrance (going towards boot rd.) spray painting of a suitcase with an arm sticking out pointing down. Writing by painting says "help me". it was pointing at a suitcase on the ground filled with a females dismembered body parts. She was said to have been killed by a motorcycle gang from the area in the early nineties.

No, we didn't really see anything like that. We took a bunch of pictures and stuff but there was no help me. There is actually a third tunnel that is about 2 feet deep with water. The only way to explore it is with boots... we are planning on investigating that next.

What does a man hanging himself sounds like??
I lived in Bensalem(Bucks County) and I've never heard about those tunnels before....but it sounds like an awesome place to visit at night! Next time I go visit my aunt I'l def ask around for those tunnles

They say you can hear the crack of the rope when he jumps. It's a pretty creepy place, very very dark. If you go with only like 2 or 3 people, you really can freak yourself out in the middle.

I think you're combining the two legends of the place. They say a woman was murdered there and put in a suitcase. I've never heard of a woman hanging herself there.
