cool. I don't even live in america, im in canada, but we have something like that. no one believes me, but one time our subway went down and my friends and I went in them to explore, and we found tunnels that lead from the Subway, to our parliament building and most major businesses in our downtown area. they the cops found us and we all got in deep crap. however we got off with just community service.

but still, it was weird and we were told to forget about the "People" we saw. then we said we didnt see any people, and he just walked away. so im curious to know what "people" they were talking about. im trying to get my friends to come with me again and try to find some of them.

upon further investigation, both are true. One legend says that a women hung herself in the tunnel because she had a child out of wedlock. The murder of a women there is true, however.

Ok there are four tunnels total. Two you can drive through so if you do drive through park on the side opposite the quarry. The other two tunnels are where the river flows. one you can walk in if it is not flooded. the other you will be walkin in a river. Second, the suitcase was not found in the tunnels that you drive in. it was found in the third walkable tunnel. The hanging that I know of was not off the wire but on the tree branch wedged right on the lone rock sticking out from the side of the tunnel. Also, my friend had taken a bone found in the tunnel that floods and was shortly after followed by the keeper of the tunnel. there are things in there older then the hanging and the suitcase. Cause I made a mistake and went with the same friend and we saw the keeper, the guardian and the hounds. keeper looks like an eight-nine foot creature. guardian reminded me of a winged creature about 8 feet tall, with a wingspan of the tunnels and a face that reminded me of a dragon. none of them do you really want to piss off. I have been lucky enough to have seen them, and have them leave me alone. we took someone else with us when we went and she was warm only inside the tunnels. the rest of us were freezing because of the wind and it was 3am tuesday after the noreaster. other then those the only other strange thing i can think of is sometimes if you are not wanted in the tunnels, you will hear what sounds like a jet engine/train you were never hear it come of go, it is just there with a huge blast of wind. those are the only things I have had the luck to see/experiance.

There are only 3 connected tunnels. The one you can drive through is Valley Creek Road. Then there is one next to it that is connect and it runs parallel to valley creek road and valley creek. Valley creek then runs through the third tunnel and makes it unexplorable without chest waders or boots.

Umm, are you sure you're talking about the same tunnels?? Because the downington tunnels that we are talking about have no keepers and there are no 8 ft. winged creatures lurking in there. As a collective group, we have been to the tunnels at least 100 times since 2005 and never once did we see a giant 8 ft creature. The only "keeper" would have to be the highway department and knowing unions, you are NOT going to see them out working at 3am!

dorks! (i mean that nicely). I used to pass both ways through those tunnels everyday to and from high school in the mid 90s and have been through them in the dark a trillion times. the only thing you need to worry about is cars flying through there at night because that road that ends there is fun as hell to drive on.
