In May 2001, the asteroid 1999 KW4 passed within about 3 million miles (4.8 million km) of Earth.

It's rather intresting to see something like this, actually.

Never knew "asteroids caught sunlight rays like sailboats catch wind." Like the pictures from space, even the description of it is beautiful.
