You are just too perceptive. We've been had.
All us NASA, NSA, CIA, FBI, FDA, INS types (hell, we're all the same thing really) are really out there trying to keep this whole 57 species of alien beings we've got in jars out in Area 51 under wraps (damn that Heinz Company...you know, they took that "Heinz 57" slogan thing from us, and lots of senior people in the "company" are still P.O.'d about that).
We want things to remain stable, to maintain the status quo, and keep the people in the dark about this thing.
Believe me, there's a reason for that. We want higher salaries and we need higher taxes for that. The Democrats are all on board. They're the one's who want all sorts of draconian measures and programs to combat this global warming thing, which are going to require higher taxes to fund all that stuff...which is a big benefit for people like me, who've been way underpaid for years.
We're hiding the aliens. We're hiding the fact that global warming is a completely unsubstantiated myth, and we're hiding all sorts of things from you.
Now that you know, we're going to have to terminate your "contract".
